A Storytelling Project Site With A Twist
MyWhy.tv is a storytelling project site unlike any other.
The storytelling’s main purpose is to show the life transforming stories of people who have encountered the love of God. The severity and openness in which every person delivers their story, matched with the excellent production value of the site gives for an experience unlike any church service.
God becomes more of a celestial creator, a maker of destiny and mover of mountains instead of a bearded dude clenching his fists and giving us rules to follow. As you read or watch the stories of the incredibly brave people pouring out their lives, you begin to see a pattern. Not a forced pattern of religious golden gates and babies in diapers, but one of deliberate hearts change. People who see God as a father. A deliverer, and a king. Not only an escape from their problems but who see God as a Father to teach the wisdom to overcome their every problem.
MyWhy is a force of substance in a world of digital abundance. I’m honored that I was featured and cannot stress enough that you should check out the website. Here is the post that featured me, you can click into the Facebook through the image or simply look at it here.
“When someone thinks about atheism, I am usually not what one would imagine. I grew up in Catholic school, but by the time I graduated high school, faith had become a distant idea and God a silly notion of the weak. I played in bar bands and was consistently doing various drugs.
I chased a girl into church at 22 years old, around the time my drugs and alcohol problem hit it’s peak. I was floored by the reality of Jesus’ words. I returned just to try and disprove the words the pastor was speaking. The Jesus I had self-imagined was not the real Jesus. The real Jesus was wise, meek, and tactical, yet still so strong and powerful. Eventually, I became a worship leader and to this day I lead the ministry and teach Bible studies at that same church 5 years later.” – Angel
