God Doesn’t Kick You Out Of Your Purpose, You Do.
There’s been a mentality of work ethic that I’ve been having to instill in myself recently. Growing up with parents who both came from Peru, worked their butts off, and gave me everything I ever needed in life; I sort of threw away my passion for growth very early on.
Purpose wasn’t instilled in me. I was always taught to be a dreamer. In school they told me I could be anything I wanted to be, the president, an astronaut (which was my plan A til I learned that it took a lot of math) or even a garbage man! As long as I was doing as best as I could.
The missing piece of the puzzle as I grew older was always…how do I get there?
If you’re reading this, odds are it’s because you feel the need to walk in your purpose and you’ve got some struggles. But there’s great news. God is completely for you. He is desiring for you to win. Desiring for you to walk in your purpose every day. God longs for relationship with you. He aims to see you accomplish those desires that he placed in your heart since before the foundations of the world. Your purpose wasn’t an accident, it wasn’t by chance that you happened to be good at what you do. But if you’re struggling, here’s the thing.
There is only one reason you are. The decisions that we make. Yep. The way we respond to the situations that life gives us will determine how much progress we make into our destiny. God will set us up with open doors, blessings, His scripture (which is a cheat sheet to life), His holy spirit, and other peoples support and wisdom(church). God set up all of these mediums for us to be completely confident of our calling. When the stars align and all of these sources are telling us the same thing; you better believe that these sources are hinting at what we are called to do. It is the perfect checks & balances system set up by a perfect God.
I want to be empathetic here and understand that there might be someone reading that could have had devastating things happen to them, but what is the alternative? Should we let the enemy win? Because it wasn’t God who did these terrible things. But I can assure you that by stepping into what you were born to do, God will take what the enemy intended for terrible things, and spin it for His glory. And His glory, is always in our best interest.
Walking in your purpose is a personal choice. God won’t force you into it, and He won’t kick you out of it. He will seek you, and He will speak to you about it. But like the perfect father that He is, if you don’t want to go into the family business, he won’t make you. Don’t take some steps today. Take leaps and bounds.
